2021 Champions honored during Speedway Ent Banquet

The annual awards celebration, after a one year absence due to the pandemic, was once again held at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie, PA. Roy Danner, Chase Zimmer, and Scott Neary were celebrated as champions for the 2021 season.


Danner, the car owner for driver Briggs Danner, received the car owner’s championship for the All Pro SpeedSTR series fueled by VP racing fuels. Danner was also the 2021 Action Track USA champion along with strong runs and wins at numerous events throughout the season. Briggs Danner continues his racing during the winter at the Chili Bowl. Roy Danner was present to accept his championship accolades with his driver making an appearance virtually.


Ralph Rehrig fielded four cars throughout the 2021 season with driver Tom Mayberry taking Rehrig to a second place finish in championship points. Jason Musser and Musser Racing rounded out the podium drivers in the standings.


Bob Swavely had drivers Steve Buckwalter, Alex Yankowski, and Billy VanInwegen as drivers during the year that pushed his team to a fourth-place finish. Toby Jr Racing finished fifth for car owner Margaret Ely.


Chase Zimmer used a strong World championship weekend and a Hamlin Speedway Championship to secure his first Junior Slingshot World Championship. Zimmer never finished outside the top three during the World Championship Weekend.


Dylan Hahn was second in Junior Slingshot World Championship points. Hahn took one win during World championship weekend and finished third in Shellhammer Dirt Track point standings.


Xavier Sprague also had one win during World championship weekend joined with his Snydersville Raceway championship for a third place in the World Championship positioning.


Chase Schott and Brayden Morrison rounded out the top five finishers. Schott won multiple track championships and Morrison was the Florida Super National winner.


Scott Neary received the accolades that he missed out on because of the pandemic in 2020. When asked by MC Barry Angstadt if it has set in yet that he had won back to back World titles, Neary stated that the celebration on Friday night allowed him to finally let it sink in that he had done it. Neary won the Keystone Cup series and three of the four races during World Championship Weekend.


Kyle Herve was second in World Championship, Keystone Cup, and Speedweek points in 2021. Consistency showed for Herve propelling his strong finish in the final tally.


Five-time World Champion Brett Bieber was third in the standings. Bieber was the Action Track champion during the past season.


Multi Time Winner Tyler Ulsh and Empire Series title winner Andrew Turpin rounded out the top five finishers.


Scott Neary was honored all the All Star Slingshot Keystone Cup champion. Kyle Herve and Shelby McLaughlin also received accolades as top three finishers.


Andrew Turpin was revered all the All Star Slingshot Empire Series champion. Brett Putnam and Tucker Jones also received honors as top three finishers.


Chase Schott was recognized all the Junior Slingshot Keystone Cup champion. Chase Zimmer and Brayden Morrison also received praises as top three finishers.


Lucas Duncan was acknowledged all the Junior Slingshot Empire Series champion. Jaden Pierce and Trevor Houghton also received awards as top three finishers.


Dave Carraghan and Chase Schott were recognized as Speedweek winners for the 2021 season.
