270 Drivers are on the list in the World Championship Point Standings as we near the 2020 World Championship Weekend event at Linda’s Speedway.
Sam Neary leads 177 All star Slingshot drivers into competition at the end of the month. Neary’s Action Track USA Championship paired with a Super National Weekend win in the Northeast has the Columbia, Nj driver at the top of the drivers list.
Hamlin Speedway is represented well with second and third place drivers taking home points from that speedway. Scott Neary is second in points and Shelby McLaughlin, the Empire Series Super National Winner, is third.
New York’s Tucker Jones is in the top five in the standings following his season at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park.
Traveling racer Andrew Turpin used the Northeast Point Series to snag a top five in the World championship Points hunt going into the big weekend.
Junior Slingshots points continue to be complied, but New York racer Brock “Bam Bam” Pinkerous is the driver at the top in the current standings.
Drivers are awarded points based on their home track or series plus the super national event.
Each race of World Championship Weekend will count as its own event to crown the Champions.
Dylan Hoch (All Star) and Tyler Ulsh (Junior) are the reigning Slingshot World Champions.
