Danner's Busy Schedule Marked with SpeedSTR races

Briggs Danner is used to going fast, but in the 2021 season Danner has turned up his already high-speed schedule.

Danner had a break out season in SpeedSTR competition at Action Track USA in 2018 when in July, Danner took home three feature wins in a four-race span. Two wins were Twin 20’s, winning both in the same program.

Danner will return to SpeedSTR racing in the family owned 78 car for a full campaign at Action Track USA. Danner has many of the 25 race Speedway Entertainment All Pro SpeedSTR schedule fueled by VP Racing Fuels on his impressive list of races for the upcoming season.

Danner will miss some of the races because of racing conflicts, but plans to start the season with the series on March 20 at Middleford Speedway. Danner has also had past success at Linda’s Speedway in Jonestown, Pa where the series will return in 2021 for the first time in a few years.

Danner’s busy season already started in Florida with his USAC East Coast Wingless 360 Sprint Car team from Bill Gallagher, Curt Michael and the BBJG. Danner will run the full Wingless 360 Sprint Car schedule of 32 races along with some of the URC winged races when time permits. The team also plans to run the two east coast USAC Wingless Sprint Car tours.

Danner will also take the wheel of Dave Bodine’s 600 Micro Sprint at Action Track USA this coming season. It will be the first season in which Danner pulls double duty on a Wednesday night.

Danner’s time behind the wheel of the families Modified will be a little more limited this season. The team still plans to field the car as often as possible.

For the past two season a second car from the Danner team has been fielded on the track. Although the team still houses the two cars, they are only planning to have one in competition during the season. Gavin Danner, a winner in Slingshots at Action Track USA, has expressed interest in moving into the Speedstr class to join his older brother.

When asked about the upcoming season and what Danner is most looking forward to? He responded initially with a huge smile and one simple phrase, "lots of racing." Danner is anticipating racing the different cars/classes as well as racing at new and different tracks.

Adding to what the family described as an already hectic schedule will keep this team busy. The team works most nights in the garage to keep Danner as a front running car showing last year as the team accumulated the most points in the Bridgeport Motorsports Park races as well as a second in owner points.

Danner’s supporters include E Schneider & Sons, Ironton Telephone Company, Roy Danner Paving LLC, Willow Street Pub, GC Lumber, MR Doggy Style Hotdog Shoppe, Wizfab, GEI Enterprises, Valley Forge Inc, Trans-Fleet Concrete, Auto Works Collision Center, and Frozen Farmer.

The 2021 Speedway Entertainment All Pro SpeedSTRs fueled by VP Racing Fuels season will open at Middleford Speedway in Seaford, De on March 20. This event will be the first in a 25-race schedule that will see the class compete at five different facilities in three states. Each event will award the winner at minimum $2,000.
