Junior Slingshot Drivers adding new talent to All Star Slingshot Fields

As the green flag drops on the All Star Slingshots at various race track across the country in 2021, there will be a new fleet of drivers that will be challenging for wins.

In past seasons Junior Slingshot champions have “spiced up” the two barrel carbureted All Star Slingshot races led in recent years by Shelby McLaughlin and Tyler Ulsh. Both McLaughlin and Ulsh carried World Championship honors into their first season off All Star competition. Both drivers finished in the top ten of the World Championship standings in the All Star Slingshots in the 2020 season.

Aidan Donaldson will make the move to the All Star class in 2021 following a season in which he was the Junior Slingshot champion at Hamlin Speedway as well as the touring Northeast Series (Now Keystone Cup). Donaldson brings his experience and success from the Junior Slingshots that included a checkered flag at the World Championship Weekend in 2019.

Charlene Benz has been the driver to beat at Snydersville Speedway in recent memory in the Junior Slingshot division. The Bloomsbury, Nj native complied 12 victories at the speedway in 2020 on her way to the championship. Benz found herself sixth in the World Championship Standings following the World Championship Weekend in the final tally for the 2020 season.

Junior Slingshot Saturday Night hot shoe at Shellhammer Dirt Track, Nolan Layser, will jump into All Star Slingshot competition as well leading into the 21 season. Layser, of Lancaster, Pa, saw the checkered flag at Shellhammer Dirt Track in 2020 on his way to a third place points finish as well as finishing in the top five in the World Championship Standings.
