Keystone Cup Promises Season of Options for Any Racer
The Northeast touring series for the Slingshots has transformed into the Keystone Cup for the 2021 season.
The Northeast series we previous traveling through Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Once the New York Empire Series reformed in 2020 changes were made to the demographics of the touring groups.
With the layout of the schedule in place the Keystone Cup was constructed. Ironically the first race of the Cup will not be held in the Keystone state, although a majority of its events will be. The season opener will be held at the Middleford Speedway in Delaware at the end of March on the 20th.
The series will then travel to Grandview Speedway for a Sunday event on April 11 followed ten days later by a stop at the Shellhammer Dirt Track on April 21.
The first three events are a showcase of the diversity set in the 2021 Keystone Cup Schedule with each track varying vastly in size and configuration.
The All Star Slingshot will compete at each of the 11 events on the schedule led by defending champion Brett Bieber.
The Junior Slingshots will not be racing at Grandview or Spirit Auto Speedway’s giving them a nine race schedule for the cup. Aidan Donaldson took the 2020 series title.
The Slingshot season officially kicked off in Florida at the start of February, but the Northeast season is closing in fast. Keep up with everything Slingshot related at SpeedwayEnt.com, or follow Speedway Entertainment on Social Media on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
