Mayberry hopes to cap strong season with $10,000 prize this weekend at Bridgeport MP

Tom Mayberry parked in victory lane at Action Track USA on June 3. As Mayberry climbed out of his Ralph Rehrig owned 17r he reminded everyone that there was something left in tank of one of central Pennsylvania’s most storied drivers. And maybe, he reminded himself.

Now heading into the Garden State 100 Weekend Mayberry will look to concur the high banks of Bridgeport Motorsports Park and claim his first win on the newly configured Kingdom of Speed. Mayberry has scored top fives in both of the races leading into the 100 weekend.

Mayberry remained a front runner all season closing out Action Tracks season with another checkered flag. There was a point in the season that Mayberry sat at the top of Speedway Entertainment All Pro SpeedSTR point standings fueled by Vp Racing Fuels.

Mayberry started the season with a fourth place finish at Middleford Speedway in Delaware. He was then a podium finisher at the “Kingdom of Speed” Bridgeport Motorsports Park on April 24 proving that he may be someone to keep an eye on this weekend with $10,000 on the line.

Mayberry leads a charge for long time Car Owner Ralph Rehrig who will field four cars total in the event.

The Garden State 100 weekend at Bridgeport Motorsports Park is this weekend.

Saturday November 13th warmups will start at noon for the 602 Sportsman running topless, 4 Cylinders, Slingshots, and SpeedSTRs on the big track and the Wingless 270 and 600 Micro Sprints and Junior Slingshots on the ¼ Mile track.

On Sunday racing will return with warmups again starting at noon. The 602 Sportsman will once again be running topless and will be joined by the 4 Cylinders for the second day in a row on the big track. The ¼ Mile track will return to racing Sunday as well with the Wingless 600 Micro Sprints, Junior Slingshots, and All Star Slingshots on the “Roval”.

Sunday will also include the $10,000 to win 100 Lap “Garden State 100” for the All Pro SpeedSTRs. This is the first time a long-distance open wheel race has been run in New Jersey in many years.
