Putnam and Houghton take Clash wins at Afton Motorsports Park

Brett Putnam came from the third starting spot to take the win in the second round of the All Star Slingshot Empire Series at Afton Motorsports Park on May 14th, 2021. The win comes just days after Putnam welcomed a new baby girl to his family.

Putnam came into the event as the point leader.

Andrew Turpin was second followed by Gordon Smith, Rusty Smith, and Joe Rando.

Putnam & Adam Fusco were heat race winners for the event.

In the Junior Slingshots Trevor Houghton charged from fourth starting spot to take over the top spot. Houghton becomes the second winner of the season on the Empire Series Junior Slingshot tour.

Lucas Duncan and Brock Pinkerous rounded out the top three finishers. Joshua Landers and Chad Pierce were the top five finishers.

Sloan Cherko took the checkered flag in the heat race.
