Dillon Steuer and Nick Pecko have been named as drivers for Toby Jr Racing in the 2021 Speedway Entertainment All Pro SpeedSTR season fueled by VP Fuels.
Toby Jr. Racing was seeking versatile drivers and the team got what they were hoping for with both Dillon Steuer and Nick Pecko showing much success on both dirt and asphalt. Both drivers have deep rooted history in Speedway Entertainment cars winning in the Slingshot divisions as well. Success seems close for car owner Margaret Ely and crew chief Jordan Thompson with the teams first event at Middleford Speedway on March 20 looming.
Steuer stayed versatile switching back and forth from dirt to asphalt winning at Riverhead Raceway in 2016 as well.
Following a big asphalt Modified win during the 2017 season Steuer decided the dirt racing was for him moving on to racing small block Modified at Lebanon Valley Speedway.
Steuer took a checkered flag at LV in 2019 and also returned to asphalt racing, this time in a dirt Modified, and took the Turkey Derby at Wall Stadium. 2020 saw Steuer won his first big block modified feature race at Orange County.
The Danny Serrano Memorial at Bridgeport Motorsports Park was where Steuer’s next opportunity would come to life. Following wins in 10 out of 11 match races against the top qualifiers for the event Steuer drew the attention warranted from the impressive performance in one on one competition.
Steuer’s already impressive resume comes at just the age of 18 making him a perfect fit for the team that it looking to work “hands on” with young talent.
Nick Pecko will quickly feel at home behind the wheel of the Toby Jr Racing number 2 for the 2021 season. The former SpeedSTR champion will make his return as part of a busy 25 race schedule for the Speedway Entertainment All Pro SpeedSTRs fueled by VP Racing Fuels.
Pecko, of Vandling, Pa, will return to the SpeedSTR ranks this season as a team car to Dillon Steuer for Toby Jr. Racing.
Pecko has enjoyed success on both the dirt and asphalt circuits winning an asphalt Modified title at Evergreen (Mountain) Speedway. Recently, Pecko returned to dirt racing in a Modified at the Penn Can Speedway.
